Rick has been in the Marin County real estate business for over 30 years.

He and his wife, Denise, raised their two sons, David and Daniel, who are now both entrepreneurs in Marin and San Francisco. David, is the owner of the well-regarded DAVID JAMES. salons in Marin and San Francisco, and is currently remodeling his home in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood of San Anselmo. Daniel, is the owner of Hickory Clay ceramics studio in the hot Mission District of San Francisco, and lives in Pacific Heights near Lafayette Park. Denise and Rick perform music together as a duo, with Rick playing guitar and singing, and Denise on vocals.

Rick plays competitive tennis player (4.0-4.5 USTA Singles Champion), guitarist, singer, and songwriter.
